    Running MacOS on NeXT hardware

Greetings. You might want to check out posts on nextcomputers.org. Although some time back, there were some NeXT diehards working on such a project. Running 68k Mac software is possible without the box itself -- driven by software. Get in contact with Rob Blessin from Blackhole, Inc for...

    BlueSCSI NeXT quesiton

Hi Michael. I ran into similar issues when installing NS 3.3 on a 712...but did get it working. A couple of things... 1. Make sure your NS 3.3 drive is 2GB. NS 3.3 can not use 'drives' larger than 2GB. Use the dd command to create the image. -- 2GB dd if=/dev/zero of=hda bs=1M...

Successful Recap of an SE/30 ASTEC Power Supply Unit

Great that you've had such a good result with this! I have recapped several Sony and Astec PSU's for both the SE and SE/30. All of them are happy, thankfully. I did have one of the Hitachi, "Made in Singapore" models which gave up the ghost though.

Logic Board - Macintosh SE Reloaded

I've been meaning to publish an update here to things that happened back in late May. Since then, the issues with the first SE build [v1.5b] have been resolved. Those issues were centered around Floppy, SCSI and ADB. Interestingly enough, all of the issues were fixed by changing out the...

Mac SE w/dual floppies - where is the System stored?

Good that you have system disks...those can be gotten from multiple sources online [for multiple versions]. If you're going inside your SE...clean, lubricate, change the cheese gear and recap the drives. You'll save a lot of headaches later on. For a good reference on how to do all of that...

Mac SE w/dual floppies - where is the System stored?

Hi there. You'd need a system disk each time you start up. There is no storage in ROM. Once you have your SD card solution in place, no more need for a system disk, since you'd have a System Folder there.

Greetings fellow Vintage Mac Enthusiasts. For those who are currently involved with or have completed a IIci Reloaded build, I seek your help and assistance. With great thanks to @max1zzz [and others], bringing us this wonderful board, I have not found a solid BOM/build plan yet. To have the...
