The Crow's Nest BBS, running Hermes II v3.1.1 on a Mac IIci with multiple wifi modems, is back again for #MARCHintosh 2026! What's new this year? • Connect via GlobalTalk using only an AppleTalk connection! • BBS in a Box volume 22 CD's are online. • Phrack newsletters and ASCII art have been...

    Mac IIsi Repairathon

Looks great! I added a TechWorks Ethernet / FPU PDS card and a DayStar IIsi cache adapter / 50 MHz 68030 accelerator to mine - it's pretty amazing what you can cram into that one shallow PDS slot.

Snazzy Weather - a snazzier weather app for classic Mac OS

It crashes on launch in OS 7.5.5 with the Basilisk II emulator and doesn't display properly in OS 9.2.2 with SheepShaver. BTW, were you aware of Weatherbot, which came out fairly recently and does something similar?

I'm really enjoying reading your updates from the BBS using the TinkerDifferent telnet server. I did a ton of BBS'ing with my IIsi, so it seems very appropriate. I can't comment from the BBS since the telnet server is read-only for now, but I'm following with great interest!

Can you see where the connections are coming from? About 100 of them were probably from me trying to get things to work! 😅

    TinkerDifferent.com Retro Proxy

Ok, that's weird - when I use Zoc8 terminal program there's no echo but it accepts input and I can read the forums, but with MuffinTerm or IcyTerm nothing works...

    TinkerDifferent.com Retro Proxy

If you could then post too, that would be pretty amazing. It would also be nice to have a prompt at the bottom of the screen to see what you're typing. Added the link to CQ II BBS - you even got the Marquee at the bottom of the main menu!

Ooooh - I'm gonna have to make that accessible from CQ II BBS!

Good to see you restoring Macs again! Where on earth did you get six IIsi's from?

More importantly, can you BBS with it? :D

    DOS on Mac

Success (finally)! I had to manually specify the IP address, subnet mask, and DNS in Windows 95. I was even able to find a much older version of my favorite modern Telnet terminal program Zoc and get on my BBS! BTW, the clipboard function between the two machines works slick for taking...

    DOS on Mac

Ok, making some progress - after setting up all the config and batch files, everything seems to load up properly at boot. I upgraded to PC Setup 1.6.4 too . Still a no-go on the Windows 95 side of things though. In Windows 95 TCP/IP, do I need to Specify an IP address or Obtain an IP...
