Quickest and easiest is get TenFiveTube:

Next, is use Leopard Webkit and select a mobile user agent from the Develop menu before you visit Youtube - this is good for any G5 or fast G4.
My take and experience is that the difference is offset by OSX and apps being specifically designed for the hardware - whereas Linux isn't (although that's far more the case with PowerPC Linux.)
I have a Macbook close to the specs of your iMac that I used to have Elementary on - it now dual...
Mplayer is much more efficient and lacking any GUI saves even more resources. Also, this build being newer has better compatibility too.
For even better results, you can pass parameters (frame dropping etc) to Mplayer either directly or via a config file.
I have a free SwissDisk online drive that's accessible via WebDAV protocol - on OS9 I connect with Goliath and on OSX Mac can connect via Finder - it's essentially Dropbox that works on old hardware too.
Well I gave the Veo SD camera a go. First complaint, could only install the driver/app with a full installation on PC - not Mac compatible.
Second problem is the Palm M505 screen is so dull any focusing and composition is guess work but when it's correct, the quality is what you'd expect from...
VGA at maximum - can't remember how they compare to the Eyemodule - I do know it's a pain to use, it has a manual focus that in theory sounds great but the image quality on the Palm makes it difficult to use.
I need to use it again and give it a good shake down :)
Thanks.
Yes, that's a problem I had for so long - bought a M500 and M505 separately for peanuts but a new battery and charger/cradle cost four times as much!
I have a SD card camera for them them too but haven't used it much yet.
Best bet is set up an ebay search and be patient ;)
