Since it is old and these boards have snapped in shipping before I was hesitant to freeze it to remove the glue. What worked was placing it in an AC vent to cool a lot. Then it was easy to snap off the glue without making the board more brittle. Now its just the glue that is at the foot of the...

For sure! They really wanted to lock it down and eliminate any chance of vibration it seems. This specific stuff is rock solid as though it were almost epoxy. I much prefer the white somewhat soft silicone stuff that you can pluck
