Just a quick update on trying out Windows NT with some AI tool assisted help. I was able to patch enough memory to get the VENEER.EXE to boot to this
Then that errored out with
Did some more work with patching memory and got to
At this point, too much typing was required to keep going so...
Thanks for that info, no problem I figured it would be fine but when I looked on amazon, a bunch of the cables had bad reviews saying they were wired wrong. I'll just search for null modem. 👍
I'm working on getting both now. But I need to get a batter way to get commands to the ANS.
@ClassicHasClass thanks for sending the info about the iConcepts USB serial adapter. The only thing is, what 8 Pin Male to DB9 Female cable did you use? It would seem simple but it looks like different...
Is this it ? This is the 2.26NT.
Also I was trying to find my serial to USB cable but can't seem to find it. Which one are you using?

@ClassicHasClass @joevt @Rairii Is this the data you were looking for the Windows NT register dump?

Sorry for the explanation not lining up, but what you replied with was exactly what I was trying to say.
I've been able to simplify the process. After 1st boot or initial install, it will boot fine just like you said. AFTER that first boot:
1. PRAM Battery removed before I even started this...
As of 1:30 CDT I was able to boot my 700 on Mac OS 7.5.3!!!!
@ClassicHasClass I've been messing around with the restarts. As of now like you said it will auto boot to a black screen but Mac OS is running in the background. I've been able to mess around enough where I think I can get it to boot...
Thank you so much for the detailed explanation @ClassicHasClass
Can you help with the quoted part above? I'm all ready to test and now understand the black screen will happen on each new boot. But if I reset the pram will it work then? You mention run boot variables but I am confused how to do...
The work being done here is incredible!!! Thank you so much @trag for making these and @ClassicHasClass for the very very detailed testing! Plus @mizerable for additional testing.
The fact that we have come this far already is amazing. Yes both current rom sims have pluses and minuses, but...
agreed. even wiping it the only stuff that "should" have been written over was the os area. The blocks should have been marked as erased but the info should be still there until it is actually written over.
Things happen, who knows if anything was even on the drive. It is still fun to see this...
