Where do I start… oh yeah, 1977. Bought my Apple ][ as a bare board from the Byte Shop in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, USA. It was an option at that time. Tinkered with it while waiting on my case (backordered). Used cassettes for storage (cassette player still functions to this day). Got case, then floppy drive and on and on and on. I credit my love of micro computers for my promotion from draftsman to CAD operator. CAD was my career for the next 45 years. Helped start the Apple Computer Enjoyment Society (ACES) and was president for a while. Marriage ended that. In 1984, bought my Macintosh 128 a few days after the Super Bowl Ad (Friends with the store owner). Started writing magazine articles for Mac User and other magazines on my Mac, then on the Mac 2 then wrote books. All this on my own time.
Faded away from the Apple world as my job focus in CAD drove me to the PC computer world right up to my retirement in 2020. Now having fun restoring early Apple devices and computers. I have a lot to learn.
