    Beagle Bros. Frame-Up Keyboard Shortcuts

Hi all, This is probably a bit of a long-shot, but I was figuring out how to use Beagle Bros.' Frame-Up, and the manual (https://archive.org/details/Beagle_Bros-Frame-Up/page/n15/mode/2up) mentions a keyboard guide that lists the shortcuts available. Unfortunately the shortcuts themselves...

VCF Midwest 2023 - Sep 9-10th Elmhurst IL

I was there, had a great time and picked up an Apple IIc! I think someone from this forum said hello to me, but I didn't recognize them so I probably had a very confused look on my face :ROFLMAO:

    Good first Apple II?

Thanks for the suggestions! I should be able to use a RPi as a serial modem with the USB Serial adapter I'm getting. It looks like Nox Archaist requires two floppy drives - is that correct? Or does it just mean I would have to swap disks? Total Replay looks sweet, but unfortunately I don't...

    Good first Apple II?

I finally did it - I got a IIc at VCFMW this weekend! I took it home and had the experience of figuring out how to use it - and figuring out which of my TVs like the composite signal and which ones don't. On the way are serial cables & floppies for ADT Pro, and a cheap composite-HDMI adapter...

Clamshell XGA Mod - Possible on 4MB VRAM models?

I appreciate you keeping us all updated! If you get this to work, I'd consider trying it with my tangerine - I actually upgraded that one so an SE (366MHz) board, but it should still be 4MB for graphics.

iBook Clamshell - Only Detecting 64MB of 512MB RAM Stick?

Got a replacement from OWC, and this one works perfectly. Guess it was just a bad stick!

iBook Clamshell - Only Detecting 64MB of 512MB RAM Stick?

I was able to test with a different clamshell, and the RAM still shows up as 64MB. Seems like it's most likely a bad stick, although this is the first time I've seen this exact issue. I've contacted OWC to ask for a replacement.

iBook Clamshell - Bongs, but no Happy/Sad Mac?

Yep! Turns out it was in the socket crooked.

iBook Clamshell - Bongs, but no Happy/Sad Mac?

Turns out I didn't have the display cable plugged in all the way - oops!

iBook Clamshell - Bongs, but no Happy/Sad Mac?

Hi all, I have an iBook G3 Clamshell Tangerine that I just took apart and put back together with an SE (366MHz) logic board and an SSD. When I put it all back together, I get the boot chime just fine, but instead of seeing a Happy Mac (or, the ? Folder, since the drive is empty), I just see the...

PowerView - The Weird PowerBook SCSI External Video Card

Have you considered what it would take to turn the Pi in to such a processor? I'm ignorant of how graphics fully works on a Mac, but it could work like something that accepts QuickDraw commands and then draws based on that, right? From what I understand that's how NuBus cards work? It'd probably...

    Good first Apple II?

Oof, that's pretty expensive haha. Does going from 0 to 4 require a mod to the board? It sounds 255/0/3 were each revisions to the board, and 4 is just a bug fix to 3?

    Good first Apple II?

Looks like Apple Rescue of Denver has several in stock at $200, which seems more than fair. I haven't dealt with them before but I think I've heard good things about them - anyone able to vouch? And ROM 0 is the one I'd want, correct...

PowerView - The Weird PowerBook SCSI External Video Card

Oh I'm totally fine with C, I just never bothered to use C++, and at this point I've gotten so used to garbage collection and not dealing with pointers I haven't had the motivation to learn it.
