    LCII Doesn't Boot from SCSIKnife

So after going through the board again, and redoing some of my more questionable soldering, it's happy! And still replicating the same behaviour that it was before hand. So either my SCSIKnife is bad, or my power supply is somehow creating the issue despite it working perfectly fine? I have...

    LCII Doesn't Boot from SCSIKnife

I've finally recapped the LC's board! And now... More problems. Now it doesn't chime when a monitor is connected to it, and it still doesn't boot from my ZuluSCSI. The chime is noticeably louder when it plays now, too. I haven't touched the power supply yet, but it seems to be working fine. All...

    LCII Doesn't Boot from SCSIKnife

Update, I have double checked the capacitors and it seems like yes, inevitably, one is leaking that I missed on my first inspect. It seems like that's the issue, because checking the SCSI port traces with a multimeter doesn't bring back any faults. It seems that at least one cap is faulty, but...

    LCII Doesn't Boot from SCSIKnife

A multimeter sounds like a good idea, will definitely try. First thing I'll check is connections to the SCSI port, that's what I suspect the most, and then go over everything else. If something does happen to not work, though, is it best to touch it up with a soldering iron or I get some spare...

    LCII Doesn't Boot from SCSIKnife

I have not replaced the capacitors, I didn't have any spare solder on hand and just attempted to reflow whatever was left on the board at the SCSI port. It seems to boot fine to the floppy disk question mark icon.

    LCII Doesn't Boot from SCSIKnife

First time poster and second time vintage Mac owner. Never posted on a forum before, very much inexperienced as well so bear with me. I recently received an LCII from a family member, and it seemed to boot without booting from the hard drive. I concluded that the drive was dead, no surprise...
