Cloning the Samsung 1TB drive in my A1286 to a Seagate Barracuda 1TB drive (spins a bit faster - 7200 rpm instead of 5400 rpm). Will be wiping the Samsung, then installing it in my client's 2009 MBP, so he can have two 500GB partitions on that computer. One for Snow Leopard, one for Yosemite.

I hope so...

Still have a Trinitron equipped monitor. No longer a M1212, though. Now, a M1298, which can be seen in other photos I've posted in my conquest thread, etc...

Alternatively, if you can snag a 3,1 boad and a pair of Harpertown processors, that might be a nice upgrade. Would let you use 10.8.5 through 10.11.6, instead of being stuck at 10.7.5 as your highest OS version.

Did some Mac Pro shenanigans myself today... Installed a 5,1 backplane board into my machine's case, then reinstalled the 12 core processor tray I tried to use earlier when the machine still had its original 4,1 board in it. The results...

I've also sourced a replacement rear processor bay cooling fan for the Mac Pro. The current one sounds like it has a death rattle.
