Nice! I never ended up showing it on-camera, but here's what I ended up with for my USB port (using one of these).

If the gain is too high, you'll likely hear noise. If lowering the gain solves the problem (and sound is still audible) then you should be set. Buttons are configurable, see here in the docs.

It looks like PCBway will print the STL for this project in PLA (or any other FDM filament) whereas JLCPCB has a 30x30mm minimum.

Small update: I finally found some time to experiment with Basilisk II + Performa 580 ROM and the performance is significantly better and more stable than my original SheepShaver implementation. Kudos to everyone who suggested I try this path. Updated guide and install script here...
