Best way to authentically emulate s3/30 on my modern mac?

I hope this is the right forum for this — if not, fire a few shots accross the bow and I”ll go elsewhre :D

I’m away from my se/30 for a bit and want to faithfully emulate an SE/30 (performance or relative performance if possible) because I’m developing something where its performance is pretty rough on the target se/30 itself but obv fantastic on say, BasiliskII where I do quick tests before taking the minutes to migrate it over to an SD card to pop into my se/30 w BlueSCSI.

So What I wanted to do during my time away from my se/30 was to have something faithfully emulate the se/30 — namely where it come to performance. It’s ok if it only does this in a relative way so that my performance tracking code can still know / tell me where to target my efforts.

Anyway - i figured mini vMac would be best for this — but I’d have to ‘build’ it with flags to make it build as an se/30 and I can’t find info on how to do this- - most everything I find is 10-15 years old and expects PPC or old OS X versions to build it in.

Is it currently buildable on a modern machine mac (using ARM architecture)? I have an SE/30 ROM which I’ll surely need after i get it to build… or I do see lots of “ready to go” vMac releases built as Macintosh II which might be close enough but not the same….

Appreciate any guidance!

Ah i feel like a total goober but I replied a few times to the linked thread instead of here — but tldr :

Spot on guys — I was getting about 2fps on my real se/30 and am getting what seems like the same thing from Snow!. Very cool and saves me the 5 minute transfer process from macbook to SE/30 just to do iterative on-target testing! At the very least i can reduce how often I do a self checkpoint like this!!! VERY AWESOME!!! Thanks for the effort!!
