Looking through some old ARPLE cds around 1993, there are multiple mentions that AppleShare 3 was originally going to support netbooting 68k Macs (not just Apple II and IIgs). The code name for this was evidently "Spectre" and the feature was sadly pulled at the last minute. Has anyone ever come across this version of AppleShare server and the client software? I did some digging, but couldn't find seed/beta releases that included this feature.
