Apple ii/e Monitor (monochrome) Repair and Technical Procedures

Apple ii/e Monitor (monochrome) Repair and Technical Procedures

This is the official Apple documentation and repair/troubleshooting guide for the Apple ii/e (Monochrome) monitor. This was released to Apple Repair Centers in April of 1987 and was included in the Apple Technical Procedures Volume 4 Binder. In this guide it is described how to disassemble, replace components, and make adjustments for the ii/e monitor (monochrome). There is also an included illustrated parts list. Also something very interesting unknown to most Apple Fans was the fact that the ii/e (monochrome) monitor had a known defect in the power cord and if a monitor was brought in for power or burn related issues the service center was to replace the power cord regardless of damage. This was due to improper grounding in the original power cords, so safe to say some examples out in the wild up until even today have the original defective power cord. This repair is also discussed in this guide.
