Out of curiosity, why are the ferrites important to salvage?

    Too many categories

I'm not bothered by the number of categories, as I can just minimize the one's I'm not interested in, though it would be nice to be able to re-order them, or hide them altogether. I too mostly check New Posts for current activity.

Mac plus how to use .dsk file

Ah, it appears the dsk file of the v1.0 commercial release is a DiskDup file, not DiskCopy 4.2. Let me fix that.

Mac plus how to use .dsk file

Can you provide a link to where you downloaded it? Was it the one on Mac Garden?

Mac plus how to use .dsk file

Ah, the download is itself on a disk image. Let me add a new download with just the raw CDEV.

Mac plus how to use .dsk file

You should be able to mount it directly in System 6 using the control panel MountImage, as long as the dsk file is in DiskCopy 4.2 format: https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/mountimage

Here's a simple PDF export from MS Word, though I do like the inverted colors for alxlab's version. :)

WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

Maybe something like GW EDIT: Hmm, that didn't work. Imagine a line over the W! EDIT 2: Something like this!

Just noticed the soldered-on pin headers on the fan assembly contacts, haha.

What should i do with this Macintosh ELSIE prototype ?

The moulding for the floppy drive is very interesting, as it is clearly for a manual inject FDD, but it's a different design than the later manual inject case they would use on Late LCIIIs and later.

WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

Is there a photo available? Not that I am capable of decoding it, I'm just curious to see.

WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

I look forward to your and Garrett's forthcoming "Warp-Plus"! :D (Maybe with a DIP-switch option to run at just 16MHz?)

WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

I would love a Brainstorm Accelerator for my Plus because of that bus accelerator.

    Macintosh 128k w/ 4MB & SCSI expansion - flaky

Fortunately there's someone currently on ebay selling them for a reasonable price, just ordered one for myself, though I haven't installed it yet.

    Macintosh 128k w/ 4MB & SCSI expansion - flaky

It appears to be an 8Mhz 68HC000, which, from what I've read, is more power-efficient, but not any faster.

    Macintosh II with ROM-SIMM

That was my fear... EDIT: Maybe SiliconInsider (Antoine) can open one up and take a peak... EDIT2: Or maybe not! Looks like it's already been done: https://siliconpr0n.org/map/apple/344s0061-a/single/apple_344s0061-a_mz_mit20x.jpg
