WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

Let me restate my case and this may not be popular, but I feel it needs to be said. A product was announced intending to be sold by a for profit business. The only thing I was expecting was to be afforded the courtesy of some updates from time to time. I and everyone else in this thread were not...

WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

I beg to differ in this respect. This was presented as something that was going to be sold on Tindie and eBay with tentative release dates given. It then just dropped off the radar. I would have at least appreciated a heads up that other things took priority or they were not going to follow...

WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

I am really sadden that this project has stalled. This thread was started at the end of 2021 and now we are into 2024 with no accelerator in sight. I passed up a few opportunities for a Mac SE accelerator in the hopes this one would become available. Now I regret doing that. If another...

    2MB 30-pin SIMM questions

These are all 2MB 30-Pin SIMMS. I am trying to find out if these are PAL SIMMs and if they would work in a Macintosh II before I make an offer to the seller. The seller said they do work in a IIsi and Color Classic. I think the answer is no, but I just want to make sure. Any help would be...

Source for purchasing a MC68851 PMMU for a Macintosh II

I just wanted to add I did get another quote from www.ovaga.com that came in at $120. Again a bit steep, but it is another source if someone is looking for one.

Source for purchasing a MC68851 PMMU for a Macintosh II

I did some checking and was able to find a reliable source for purchasing one of these. I did find one other source but it was double the cost. Here is the weblink for a company in the Netherlands. Origineel Motorola XC68851RC16 MC68851 – Van Dijken Elektronica You cannot purchase directly...

Macintosh II supporting more than 8MB of RAM issues

I found out you need PAL SIMMs if you want to use more than 8MB of ram on the Macintosh II. There are some on Garrett's Workshop on Tindie, but are currently out of stock.

Macintosh II supporting more than 8MB of RAM issues

I just acquired a Macintosh II. Installing 8x4M 30-pin SIMMs, I get a black screen and a sad mac tone. 8x1MB 30-pin SIMMs work just fine. It does have the FDHD upgrade but, still has the Apple AMMU installed. The ROM version is $0178 according to the info screen in SpeedOMeter. So is this a ROM...

    Tandy 1000 SL/2 Keyboard?

I have a spare Tandy 1000 Enhanced keyboard I could get to you. It's missing the two risers on the bottom, but otherwise is fully functional. Let me know if you want to proceed with that?

    Tandy 1000 SL/2 Keyboard?

This must be the Tandy 1000 SL I gave to a friend who gave it to you. Well anyway.... I have a couple of converters I use for my Tandy 1000 SL/2, TL/2 and TL/3 computers. Just look for the seller geralds_retro_pc on eBay. Those are the ones I have and they work without issue. There are...

    ComputerLand BC88 computer from 1986

I recently picked up this computer at the local FreeGeek Twin Cities for only $120. You don't see these too often. It was ComputerLand's first house brand computer released in 1986. It was manufactured by Sambo Computer in Korea where it was sold as the TrimGem 88. What made this computer...

    SimCheck INN-8448 power adapter

Awesome, that is exactly the information I needed. I am going to order an adapter from Amazon for only $10. Mine appears to have a plug in for power on the back, if not I should be able to solder this internally with no issue...

    SimCheck INN-8448 power adapter

I am looking for a power adapter for a SimCheck INN-8448 ram tester. I believe it takes a E87297 Plug-In Class 2 Transformer. Does anyone know a specific source for getting this? I have seen different variations online I am not sure which one to purchase.

Pravetz-16ES 80186-8 IBM PC compatible computer from Bulgaria

I am in the process of acquiring this computer from a seller in Bulgaria. I have only read about Pravetz computers, but what I found so interesting about this one is that is IBM PC compatible with a 80186-8 CPU. The computer is listed as in perfect working condition. I am very anxious to get it...

Distorted audio with new MacEffects Thunder PDS accelerator in an LC II

The response I got back from MacEffects was that the issue is most likely due to issues with the sound chip at UB10. I checked that area with a 30x loupe and did not see any corrosion. They offered me a replacement accelerator or a refund, but I think it is something with the logic board at this...
