Great Little Machine -- what is it?

early on in the Macintosh project (pre steve jobs taking over) it was going to be a little 6502 computer. at some point they decided on 68000. but i don't know the details. https://www.folklore.org/ is a good site to read up on the development of the mac side of things.

    SE/30 without an Analog Board

i looked but couldn't find it again. but i recently watch* somebody was able to do basically what you are asking for. i remember he was able to eventually get the video to a LCD monitor. So. thats to say. it has been done. (hack a SE logic board to not need an analog board...) so i guess. at...

    Rominator II programming options

no. @Kay K.M.Mods found it hard to build one. The chip you need is hard to find and tend to be broken when you do find them. So he made a new Rominator II that you can use normal rom programer. https://tinkerdifferent.com/threads/smc-rom-simm-prototype.2198/ so maybe that would be a good...

SE/30 with vertical jail bars - looking for a direction steer on my next steps

i'm supper newb at this. but i think lower numbers are faster. Access Time-Max 120.0 ns vs Access Time-Max 150.0 ns i bet either would work. that is, its ok to go with a faster chip.

WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

nah, more like the (ok, that is the Thomson version. but better representative of what i had in mind) i'm not really a electronics guy. so you say 68000 i think what i'm used to when i open up my older macs :P not that it matters. i was just surprised there was that many packages for it.

    Hiding "dot" files in Classic?

Apple Filing Protocol (AFP) part of the Apple File Service (AFS), that offers file services for macOS, classic Mac OS, and Apple IIs. kinda went away in Mac os 10.8 or so. personally, i get AFP and AFS and apple talk all mixed up. could you just make a classic app that looks at all the file...

    SMC Fat Mac Switcher

i get it. the first of whatever is more collectable. not because its useful. most 128k's i'm sure is just wall candy. to add on to this. the first Mac we even saw, the one that was happy to get out of that bag, was a 512k. The 128k doesn't have enough memory to talk! FWIW, i was able to find a...

    Virtual x86 - Browser based x86 emulator

This is great! can finally play lots of minesweeper. i was having trouble rightclicking. found its because of Safari. (even though it grabbed my mouse, right click still went to safari) Switched to firefox and right click works fine. (prolly would also in chrome) so that is, works better not...

ThinkC MacDock dev progress -- Like today's macOS Dock but for System 7

I noticed in the video the icons look like they are being double clicked. (they flash twice) I feel like in the modern dock they only flash once when you are simply switching to them. This is really cool and i bet a lot of fun to recreate. edit: i meant to ask originally. >Is that flashing...

ThinkC New INIT for Systems 6/7: Today’s the Day

or maybe use @jcs 's amend ? I haven't actually tried it myself. but seems like it would be nice to be able to do source control straight from the classic environment you setup for think c.

Massive Vintage Apple Haul in Idaho

I purchased a iMac 333MHz new. it was a rev D. (so tray loading) i loved that thing. i used it all the time. I opened it up lots of times just because I thought it was cool. I dreamt about getting the G4 upgrade that also included a firewire port. I purchased a Blue and white tower off of...
