Radius Artica Display with custom DVI cable

That is one very cool display. I have a good half dozen Radius (KDS) Displays in my collection, but nothing like this one! KDS had the rights to the Radius trademark, so I wonder how it wound up on a Mitsubishi product?

MicroMac Technology MMXL99 SE-PL-CL Universal Accelerator Drivers?

@Bolle wondering about JP1 again. Bodging a fourth header onto the left side might do the trick? That way the clock doubler GAL could be fed by jumper takeoff from 16MHz on the system board to support a 32MHz 68030? edit: have you already got something like that implemented as is?

Breaking the 36MB RAM limit on the LCIII

Lying, hedging, shading the truth . . . that's SOP, be it in marketing, advertising or politics. The Apple "faithful" are in a league all their own to this day . . . Kool-Aide connoisseurs.

    MicroMac 68030 in a Mac 128K?

Spot on! Were it not for PageMaker, the LaserWriter and Postscript that drove it and imagesetters of the time, the Mac would undoubtedly have failed. Fontographer was the first Illustration App, Madison Avenue was in love with the stuff.

    MicroMac 68030 in a Mac 128K?

Loaded out to the max 128K for DTP kinda purist here. ;) 128K was an all but useless "Comprised Mac" for its PageMaker killer app, hence MonsterMac et al. Without the DTP revolution, there'd be no Macintosh line, just a failed MiniLisa.

    MicroMac 68030 in a Mac 128K?

The MonsterMac board would be the required memory upgrade, no? How much RAM is on that thing?

MicroMac Technology MMXL99 SE-PL-CL Universal Accelerator Drivers?

Very cool! Love to see your progress. My color coded AI modeling is prettier, but seeing it in real deal green is Earth shattering! Now we only need a MagicalBus adapter running from the Classic socket thruholes to the Radius connector for one of my TPD cards in the Plus adapted, Drexel Branded...

    MicroMac 68030 in a Mac 128K?

Might kill the A/B when you power the double decker kluge up? You've got the KILLY KLIP needed for a Plus installation, those are rare. If you remove that the Performer should plug directly into the 68000 socket of the LEVCO. Don't think the 68000 is needed IIRC? Curious board, I've never seen...

MicroMac Technology MMXL99 SE-PL-CL Universal Accelerator Drivers?

Yep, definitely interested in scans. That's the same card I've been playing with for years. ATM @Bolle has it somewhere in a big pile near his bench. :ROFLMAO:

Breaking the 36MB RAM limit on the LCIII

General maximum memory config info: It wasn't just memory pricing, release dates of higher DRAM capacity/SIMMs plays a big part as well. Apple's maximum supported memory configs are based on SIMM capacities available and tested at time of release. Models were already obsolescent when higher...

SuperMac VidCards - Timeline Development - Links

Thanks! That's plenty good enough for my Rogue's Gallery. Gotta go through the new pics and enter the data on the boards when I get a chance. Board pics still needed: Spectrum/24 v.___ - undocumented - Rev.B Spectrum/24 Series IV Spectrum/24 Series V Spectrum/24 PDQ Spectrum/24 PDQ+ Spectrum/8...

Breaking the 36MB RAM limit on the LCIII

How goes it on this one? Is your board ready for prime time? Haven't seen an update on any of your projects for a bit?

ThinkC How to detect of QuickDraw Color is available?

Sorry I bumped into the wrong forum with the wrong kind of suggestion. Been watching the programming project threads with great interest though. Great stuff, gang!

Not out on bench, It's been front and center of the AppleDisplayUnit™ for all these years. The pics were snagged off the iFrog album from which they were originally linked. Probably lost a lot of related pics from the upgrade/great pixel robbery and then disappearing cache disasters at the MLA...

Mine'll be going nowhere very fast just as it's been doing for over twelve years running. ;) Things of interest for @jorg @vorg project. -- closeup lenses for short-throw of image -- pin-cushion distortion induced image correction for field curvature of backside of CRT -- front surface...

ThinkC How to detect of QuickDraw Color is available?

Monitor's Control panel I'd think. TattleTech after that. What Mac are you coding for, CPU type's also a dead giveaway. Anything 68000 is single bit B&W. Anything better should have Color QuickDraw in the ROM/toolbox.

The Macintosh Minus - pi-powered mini Mac Plus clone with 5" CRT display

That one's been played with in a Classic. ;) MacintoshClassicIIIColorTVp™ - Take 2 @vorg you might find something of use in the optical bench experimentation considerations.
