Logic Board - Macintosh Classic Reloaded

@MacEffects has the license, as with the Macintosh SE Reloaded, for board sales in the continental US - not sure of the timeline of production on their side though. If it's a while, i can do a small board run, with SMD pre-assembly done on the rear (barring the inductors)

Cleaning solutions for ultrasonic cleaning of electronics?

In the UK - i buy this, in 5 litre bottles: https://www.allendale-ultrasonics.co.uk/flux-remover-and-pcb-ultrasonic-cleaner-solution-5-litre-cleaning-fluid Works well enough - although it can struggle with Amtech 559 flux.

New to ST - First Purchase

Oooh nice find - very clean! They've done there what Commodore did with the Amiga 500's later on in their life. The 500+ was available, but there was still demand for the 500's, so they used 500+ boards, partly unpopulated. That board could easily be populated with more memory to bring it up to...

Johan Grip has imaged the die already - just needs to be decoded.

Anyone here handy with a disassembler like IDA Pro?

Specifically, i'm trying to run Macintosh ROM's through it. While it can decode snippets of functions - it dumps a lot of 'data' it thinks - it can't determine what's code and what's not. Also, the references, while they line up, seem to be scattered around, and the visual graph looks like...

@Mark Fixes Stuff - would you be interested in a spool or two? :)

Mod: Quadra 660AV 2 MB VRAM Upgrade

Problem with that is that you'd need to solder a castellated PCB in place as the pads are SMD. That's a bit fiddly to say the least.

    1987 Macintosh Plus (Platinum)

Well, it chimes....then does nothing then chimes...and then chimes...and chimes again :D I've just ordered a recap kit and a few BU406's to re-do the analogue board. I'll reflow all the solder joints while i'm at it.

    TinkerDifferent Wallpaper?

@Mac84 created the logo - although @Branchus is responsible for the theme - should be easy enough to cobble something together, with the assets - it's a good idea - perhaps a 1-bit version in 512x342 for classic mac's, too :)

    Power Macintosh 475

I too would be very interested to learn the difference. The main ASIC is identical, it's just the Clock/PLL circuitry that there may be differences - perhaps we could each take some images of the boards to see what these differences might be?
