um. .. i only have one comment or question. Who's not a fan of OS9 and G3/G4 computers ? I think, at least everybody on this forum, would be predisposed to at least like those two things. (OS9 and G3/G4 machines)
diskhero github. (with link to archive.org where one can play in browser)
New game for Apple III Paul Hagstrom made for kfest presentation. Whats cool about it is the Apple III is basically an unknown computer with nothing documented for how it works. (apple didn't seem to really provide any...
i've actually caused an error when i tried to do both(on accident, i didn't understand this feature at the time) Think C will think i'm trying to link the same resource file twice and yell at me.
...
at least thats what i remember.
same. and i am IN THE US
i basically never see hauls like this.
...
that being said I have seen them. which having 1 or 2 happen to me in the last decade or so.. is a lot more then .. it never happening.....
...
it still feels like not a lot tho.
as for power, you can get something like a modern sata to usb converter. and then JUST use the power adapter to power the drive.
sata to usb
the power supply and molax will be seperate. so you could just use that along with what retr01 suggested for the scsi part.
another option would be just...
THIS IS GREAT!
reminds me of those challenges where people make the worst interface for entering a date or password or something. (this is def not the worst interface. just unorthodox)
one thing i found i missed when using a ssd hard drive was the sound of the hard drive.
HDD Clicker
Somebody made a sound thingie to recreate the hard drives. It mostly just clicks. I don't know. I don't think it sounds like the hard drive i remember from my Mac SE. but maybe ?
At least it...
WELCOME !
Thats almost the same setup my family had in the 90's including the monitor. except we had a Quadra 610. (which is near enough to be the same for all intents / purposes)
looking forward to what you will come up with!
it IS very frustrating! although i don't remember it being a problem in the 90's. MAYBE i mostly received the self extracting archives ? (.sea) and so i just didn't notice it. or was only stuffing and extracting my own files.
but today its very frustrating. partly because i don't know if the...
its the macgui guy. i THINK i see him on this forum.
https://macgui.com/newa2guide/
you could prolly email him directly and ask though. from that website.
oh neat, i have 2 of the replica-1's boards. one i just purchased. teh 2nd i got as a kit and built myself. (to practice soldering iron skills)
I simply tried to load programs via serial. but i was never able to adjust the timmings correctly. Which resulted in many programs being corrupted. So...
I used this book. which is new (compared to other apple ii books)
The New Apple II User's Guide
really helped me understand the different modes and how to boot things and stuff. even was great at talking about the different models of Apple II's
I was going to add Star trek birth of the federation. But it requires windows 98. so that might not work.
System requirements:
CPU: Pentium 200 MHz
RAM (memory): 32 MB RAM
HDD: 180 MB
Its kinda like a reskin of moo2. but uses falcon 4.0 engine ? its kinda weird. They only had the rights...
i know IIe cards are not impossible to get...
but it would open up to who would buy something if we actually just make a NEW IIe card with new software from scratch.
IDK> if you are going down the path of creating new hardware to make it 32bit compatible ANYWAYS. maybe just fpga up an Apple...
for me, i had it in some LC4XX box. and it had a ton of memory.
so i could either have ton of memory OR be able to run the IIe card. but not both.
but yeah. seems like it would take somebody a lot of effort and have a lot of knowledge to be able to make it 32bit compatible.
thats my suggestion. start with system 9.2.2 .. than install tiger on top.
that way you can run 9.2.2 in a classic environment inside Tiger.
...
but i personally think 9.2.2 is more fun....
but more than anything. TINKER and have fun. Try things out. once you figure out how to burn CD's and...
