How many 3.5" Floppy drives can you daisy chain?

correct. Mac floppies you can't chain. Apple ][ floppy drives you CAN chain. However, you can chain HD20's together and you can put a floppy drive at the end of a HD20 chain. more about floppy chains in context of floppy emu

Restoring a Mac SE - My Journey So Far...

i've made the same mistake. although i never tried holding down the head to see if it would work tho. going forward i'm just not gonna clean the heads. they do have the floppy drive cleaner things. Like a fake floppy that you put some cleaner on. that might be a better option.

    Deus Ex on Mac Mini

I remember going to a store and buying this game. like at Bestbuy or mediaplay. I do NOT remember what Mac i had at the time. I'm guessing either the Mac mini G4 or the iMac 333Mhz.

    Just a PSA...

yes you remember correctly. the 333MHz last of the cd tray loaders. which I agree isn't too terribly difficult.. but "too terribly difficult" is still harder then easy. i only did the easy ones. (which was still a lot of computers for me) i guess i was just saying where i was on this project...

    Mac-a-Mug Pro, from Shaherazam (1986-87)

nice find! so this program is like what Sisko used when trying to remember his mother? for example, you look at a picture. and try to match what the eyes the program provides with the person in the picture? (and then so on with every other feature of human face?)

WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

I think i saw somebody use a fpga to emulate a 68k cpu, and stuck it in the cpu socket of a mac. .. i can't seem to find it. but i think they were able to get system 7 to boot. and maybe they didn't have sound or something. .. but i can't find it now and my google-foo is failing me. EDIT...

WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

personally i kind of like sticking with a '000* for maximum compatibility. I kinda want to use the programs i used with the computers i did back then. but it would be nice if i didn't have to wait as much as i used to. *i remember when new, the community talked about '030 '040. but did anybody...

WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

i'm curious about this answer as well. my understanding is maybe it wouldn't because an '030 is also faster per cycle. that is. gets more done in a single cycle then a plain 68k ? that is . a 25Mhz 68000 is slower then a 25mhz 68030 that is. thats my guess.

    Macintosh 512k restore

and so. if you are moving drives around to different computers, keep the cable with the drive. (not the computer) ?
  16. Patrick

    Macintosh 512k restore

that might be a problem with the cable. I forget the deets. but you either want the cable that has a red stripe. or the cable that has the stripe be yellow. so maybe try the other cable if you have one and see if it fixes the continually ejecting problem.

    Macintosh 512k restore

oh... then agree its not the mod. i'm the OP on that thread. and i have not been able to fix it. Note that i did NOT have sound on the head phone jack. but that could be because the Jack itself was rusted. let me know if you fix it. because i haven't figured out why no sound on my 128k.

    Macintosh 512k restore

i had the same problem. check your bodge. i think it might be the brown wire. or maybe the red wire? (its not the yellow one) sorry i forget exactly WHICH one it was. but it was one of those 3 on that one side that caused audio problems on mine. maybe i just don't know how to do this. but i...

    Macintosh 512k restore

they are but you will only have 400k. HOWEVER, after you install Kay's mod it will turn your 512k into a 512ke . which means it can use the full 800k if you have that drive. (at that point you have the ROM of a plus) so without mod: drive treated as 400k even if its 800k. with mod, treated as...
