lots of useful software on it. even has lisa software! i sometimes use it to make disks for the older plain 68k macs or whatever. (ones that can't boot off the cd) But i always find it very hard to find it on macintosh garden. so thanks for posting!

I found this googleing. YMMV. http://www.synack.net/~bbraun/mackbd/index.html is a ps2 -> 128/512/plus keyboard thingie. it might be easier and cheaper to try to find another mac 128k~plus machine that might have the keyboard and mouse with it. (like via local ads or something) i like @JDW...

everything that Stephen said. also... i know that Mac plus have issues with 3 chip ram. you have 2 chip ram. wonder if they are causing an issue? (its just a wild guess. something would at least try)

for sure. its a very :doh: moment on my part. much easier and practical just to make a long cable.

so when i looked into doing this. i was laser focused on making an extension cable.... and now i realize, thats stupid. just make a longer cable. don't try to create a gender changer or something. (like how you did this)

too add on to your question. we should be doing the same thing for our clock batteries? (i assume its bad to throw them in the trash) Batteries+ might take them. maybe your local landfill or something has a spot a way to take them. But i would be interested if other people who know from first...

they have a few compact macs ! to name another sighting in a later episode they have a Mac 128k/plus style mac and a Mac SE (maybe se/30? i didn't get a good look) that controls the door to a cell. with an ADB keyboard. (also had the color lcd mod)

i think it would be neat to try it. would love to know if one could expand the onboard ram that way. its not like the disk cache trick-thingy helped the IIsi that much anyway. That is, without using tests, just real world usage. i doubt one could really tell if its Slow or really slow. edit...

Did they come with floppies ? i seem to remember that my powerbook 190 i got new.. didn't come with any install disks. i had to make them from previously installed software on the laptop. (i may be making this up)

they have me thinking about a mystic mod. I have a Quadra 605* with busted up plastics. could i use THAT logic board for the mystic upgrade ??? * actually i've lost it. i'm sure it must be in a box _somewhere_ ! but assuming i find it, could i use it? or does it only work with the like the LC...
