I have, but it's not too useful without an NFS mount for it, so you really need a BBA. The Dreamcast Linux that circulates out there is old but is a complete system even standalone, so it works fine with my Treamcast too. I have the build I use up here: https://github.com/classilla/dclinux

Unfortunately that won't work - the G5 is big-endian, and most POWER9 systems are usually configured to run little-endian. If you do make a source code release, I'd be very interested in playing with it.

The processor could be getting hot simply because it ends up in an infinite loop or some such. For example, when my Quad G5 machinechecks, it just goes into a loop and the fans run at max. It may well be the CPU board at fault, but the CPU card heating up wouldn't be definite evidence.

Interesting. I haven't observed any such issue with my own MDD, though I've been its only owner (I bought it new) and it has a Sonnet dual 1.8GHz CPU board in it now (it was originally a dual 1.25).

How is the RAM configured in the SIMM slots? Are they all the same specification? Do you have them in matching groups of four?

ZTerm works fine on my Duo 2300c with 8.1.
