Any interest in NEW Repro Lombard / Pismo battery packs?

Yeah I have been wrapped up in designing an Atari 8 bit computer to laptop conversion I am trying to finish for VCF Socal so ive been deep into modeling that and my printer has been running non stop... The problem with the pismo packs is that darn curvy design is going to be a bit tricky to...

    BlueSCSI on Macintosh Portable

Cool, glad it worked for you. I believe the newer BlueSCSI boards address the issue as well. The PowerBooks 100 series also need the fix.

Any interest in NEW Repro Lombard / Pismo battery packs?

I’ve rebuilt one pack last week (for me) and used one of the two out of 4 packs that I was able to crack open with minimal damage. The cells I am using are working great and are the actual mah they claim to be. I am getting up to 6 hours runtime on a charge. I have yet to model the geometry for...

Macintosh Plus - Trouble after doing SCSI Term Diode Mod

For what it’s worth I did the diode mod a couple weeks ago on my Mac plus with 4mb ram and using a BlueSCSI V2 WiFi external and have had no issues with it at all. I think that when you did the mod it caused your board to pull a little more current and that finished off whatever was barely...

Fix for PowerBook BlueSCSI & ZuluSCSI locking up after Mac OS "spins them down"

I found this a long time ago with my portable and then my pb180. It’s a timing issue when powering the BlueSCSI back up. I “fixed” it back then by jumping power from the floppy drive over to the BlueSCSI so when it wakes up it powers the BlueSCSI immediately before the machine tries to access...

Portable SLEEPS even when it shouldn't? [SOLVED]

Probably not helpful and I don’t have a battery eliminator but I can recall that when I was having the wake from sleep issues early on where the machine would freeze for about 3 minutes after wake up when using the BlueSCSI, I had worked around it by forcing the computer to never sleep. i...

    BlueSCSI on Macintosh Portable

For the ram? Yes. Not a fix. A bandaid. It was an issue addressing the full 7MB so he made a mod daughter board so you could change it to 5MB. Later version had the mod built into the board. you could have sent the board to him and he would add the daughter board with the switch on it.

    BlueSCSI on Macintosh Portable

nice fix. That board is different than mine. Mine has a power connector on the bottom left and that’s where I’m jumpering 5v to gf the floppy drive to it to do the sleep fix originally. just to clarify and refresh my memory there were two sleep related issues back then • taking several minutes...

If you mean made some of your own silicone tubing, ya I’ve make a ton of replicated parts using that Smooth-On mold making silicone to make the molds and then cast in resin. You could use a hard shore silicone as the mold and then a softer shore to cast in. Could probly even 3d print one to use...

I have that also! 😂 I bought the 1mm first since it was all I could find and quickly learned that it doesn’t work. I glued it and then that made things even worse. Eventually that .8mm one showed up and I redrew it Now so I have like 20 feet of .1 and .8 tubing now.
