Web browser for Intel OS X

Agreed rjkucia, it is a great name. Love seeing more projects like this! FF Legacy was already a thing, but I think I'll be giving this a go as the existing options are a bit wonky, and the older UI this one uses should run a lot smoother on old systems. Excellent. I do wonder if there's ever a...

Massive Vintage Apple Haul in Idaho

That’s the main thing I’m worried about. I’ve got a Blueberry SL in REALLY good shape but it’s real high-hour and needs its analog board recapped. Really worried about that bezel. Tube is also not the sharpest anymore, original hard drive had 28 thousand hours on it so it’s probably just worn out.

That would make sense, that sort of thing does happen.

    Restoration: Water-Damaged Apple IIe

That 80 column card only has a few chips on it, can't be that difficult to figure out what's amiss with it. Does it have any RAM/VRAM on board? That would be my first suspect.

Yowch! That's a burnt PSU. Surprised it works in that state!

    IIci restoration chances

Poorly. It’s a lot harsher and has been known to make weaker connections break in a way that isn’t visible to the eye, making troubleshooting very difficult. Avoid it.

    Erics Finds

I must however amend my previous message to say that laptops can often involve 200% of the issues... it's totally worth it, right...? guys...?

    Erics Finds

That's why I love laptops so much. 90% of the functionality, 10% of the space.

    IIci restoration chances

Good luck fixing this IIci! And a word of advice - if it's your first time soldering, or even if it's your first time soldering surface mount ICs, always remember to practice on a junk board first. The best way to screw up is to dive right in on the board that matters.

That's a cool effect! May just have to do something like that to mine at some point.

    HDI-30 Part Number?

Yeah no idea, sorry. @nickpunt is pretty good at tracking weird connectors down. He found two weird laptop power connectors on a 68kMLA thread, not sure how active he is here though. I had a quick look on google but couldn’t find anything.

This a laptop? Edit: Indeed it is! I'll search around the net for info on it, I'm decent at digging up info on laptops.

Yep, the G4 boards have 'em. At some point I'll recap my sawtooth.

    Power Mac G3

airport cards are dying now? The B7W didn't support them either way. The B&W G3 has all solid capacitors on the logic board, the beige one's don't.

    Power Mac G3

🤦‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️ Skimmed the thread and wrote about iMac G3 faults... Blue and white G3s are pretty bullet proof hardware wise - check the PSU for proper output voltage, then can't offer many ideas beyond that.
