    Seeking help with Apple 3.5” Floppy drive. The Omron branded eject/insert motor and gear assembly unit is missing. Can the floppy drive still be used?

    The Apple 3.5” drive is missing the Omron ejector unit so when it is attached to the computer and powered on, the floppy drive starts up but the floppy drive shaft motor stays on constantly and a floppy disk can not be inserted. I was wondering if this is because the ejector motor is missing...
