    RaSCSI stopped working

So... I received my new RaSCSI kit from intriguing industries today after paying almost 20€ for customs and soldered it together. pi@RaSCSI:~/RASCSI/python/loopback_test $ python3 test.py -------- Test PASSED -------- Total errors: 0 This means my Pi is good and something on my old RaSCSI...

What are these plastic bits from?

I believe the piece on the right is a cover for the screen adjustment pots on a Classic/Classic II. The expansion slot cover of an SE looks different.

    RaSCSI stopped working

I can confirm the result of the loopback test with my multimeter. The output of D0-DP stays at 3V after setting the signal to low via raspi-gpio set 10-18 op dl The output of MSG does switch from 3V to 0.2V after telling it to raspi-gpio set 23 op dl /edit: I just did another round of testing...

    RaSCSI stopped working

Thanks! The purchase of an Ersa Analog 60W soldering station and a MG Chem flux pen improved my soldering quite a bit. So far I only tried the LED test and it behaved as it should. I also ruled out the power adapter. The pi behaves exactly the same with a genuine raspberry pi adapter as it...

    RaSCSI stopped working

Thanks for the help! I just did resolder the transceivers before and now I also went over all of the GPIO pins on the pi and the RaSCSI. The loopback test still fails with the same result as above. Pin 24 (GPIO 8) does fluctuate during the test between 1.6 and 2.9V. The light sucks right now...

    RaSCSI stopped working

Hello together, unfortunately my favorite vintage mac gadget stopped working a few days ago. The Pi seems fine as I can access it with the web browser, ftp or ssh, but three different Macs no longer regognize the attached SCSI devices through RaSCSI while other devices (I tried a BlueSCSI and a...

I flashed my BlueSCSI to the latest v1.1-20220404 firmware, Mac Plus benchmark comparisons

I believe the Mac Plus is the bottleneck in this case. Somebody needs to retry with a Mac SE or SE/30.

How to set the current date on a Macintosh SE ?

You cannot enter a year later than 2020 directly or through the arrows which is why I wrote you have to let the mac do the year change. Enter 31.12.2020 23:59 and wait for the mac to jump to 2021. Repeat for 2021->2022. Worked fine on a German 6.0.7. I believe 6.0.8 only came in English.

How to set the current date on a Macintosh SE ?

What worked for me was to set the date to 31.12.2020 23:59 and let the mac do the rollover to 2021. Then correct the day, month and time but leave the year. Repeat for 2021 -> 2022.

    Wonky/Mis-Aligned Screen on iBook G4 12" (1.33GHz)

The LCD frame/hinge assembly on these is a cast part that likes to break which would cause this issue. I've replaced it with a good used part on my old 12" iBook G4. You have to take pretty much the whole machine apart to do this.

    The original StyleWriter

Hello there, since I revived an original StyleWriter this year and apparently nobody else is using one of these I thought I might as well share some info on it. The StyleWriter was Apple's first inkjet printer that was introduced in 1991. It offered nearly LaserWriter quality at the cost of an...
