I grew up with the C64 when I was younger (and other other systems). These are great but I already had built a 64 from scratch with a new PCB and some modern replacements for some of the custom chips. I have another PCB that I have to put on a schedule to build.

Back in the day, I was the owner of a Quadra 950. I wanted to upgrade to PPC so I swapped the motherboard to the WGS 9150. I am not sure in this day and age if that would available and if it is, how expensive it would be

When you power on the Cube, do you see a green light when you look into the vent (or with the case off)? That should be the VRM board. If you do not see it could be an indication of power. Another trying to check is the PRAM battery. If you can, check the voltage. I faulty battery could cause...

At a certain point, Thunderbird required a plug in to import .mbox files. I am not sure when. I have a suggestion: try using the Eudora email client. It was my preferred email client of back in the day. You should be able to import your email with that client.
