So, at the moment two things are happening, the first the image is bowed to the left, the second is that if I push the contrast too high the image get distorted and the colours get separated: "normal" Distorted: The image appears correct on the VGA monitor. Any idea? Caps? cold solder?

So my iMac G3 was working fine, then I turned it on the side to swap the hard drive and when I turned it on, the screen showed this, it's very dimm and the colours are all shifted, any idea ?

To avoid any software incompatibility I wii try mac osx, let's see if it does anything different.

Hey, yeah, I know about different media, I was around as well :) I checked, these are both DVD-ROM, pressed, I can't put my finger on the fault...

I have a 400mhz tangerine slot loading, it works fine, it reads disks, but it's really picky about DVDs, this "calibration" DVD works fine, everything else, os 9.2.2 spit it out telling me it can't recognise the disk, any idea why? is it a medium problem?
