V7.1.1 working great on my Type C, no longer hangs (stalls) at 0:17, Quicktime .MP4 shows 18fps and ~22Mbit/s, picture looks very good. Can't wait for my lens to arrive! Have boxes and boxes of old film that still needs to see the light. Thank you @0dan0 and everyone else here making all this...

Here's V6.1 on my newest Type C purchased a couple months ago ... looks like correct data, same SD card, no stalled frames or captures issues. 10 sec clips plays all frames finally the correct screenshot

If its any help ... here is Quicktime data on capture from V6.1 However this was a different Type C unit from January. I am gonna try V6.1 on my current Type C unit and see what the result is.

ok, new capture on V7.1a on Type C – also I am getting consistent data failure around the 17 sec. mark. Unit continues moving film, capture continues, movie hangs at ~17 sec and repeats same frame for the rest of the movie, in my case 51 sec mark. I am using SanDisk 280mbs SDXC II U3.

Opps, do I load both? FWDV280.BIN AND FWDV280-C-71a-Odan0.rbn ... to the root or just the .BIN file?

@0dan0 not sure what happened but I did a roll of reg 8 and got 5fps and really low data rate ....

@0dan0 I just ran V7.0 on Type C without issue. Can you give me a quick refresh on settings ... is this correct? WB: 0.0 Sharp: -1 Tint: 0.0 Frame adjust/zoom: whatever Just flashed Type C to 7.1, gonna do a 50' reel now. Ordered my lens! Thank you so much for all this work!

@0dan0 Just flashed my Type C w/ 6.1 but the screen is still showing v.6.0 - the unit did go through the update process - :20 delay and all so maybe it worked and its just the screen graphic that is incorrect. not complaining – just feedback 😎

@Mac84 @0dan0 @fishgee big thanks to you all, 'FWDV280-TypeC-V6.0-0dan0' firmware is now working on my Reels (Serial starting with K312)! Picture is so much better! Actual 18fps, 1600x1200 and 20Mbit/s! Now, about this lens thing 😂

@fishgee Tried firmware C, same result. Reels unit just boots as normal. Takes only a couple seconds. Wondering if Kodak changed something in these newer ones? Should I return this and find an 'A' or 'B' version?

Hi y'all, I received my Kodak Reels unit today: K3124148BK0XXXX Ran a 50' Super8 test scan and the unit works as it should. I used the firmware lookup: https://mac84.net/8mmlookup/ It said use 'B'. I put the SD card back in the unit and formatted it. Turned off the machine and ejected the card...
