What fabulous timing !! I'm doing the same thing! I recently eBayed two G4 Mac mini's and will setup one with OS 9. One doesn't boot and the other is Password protected at the OpenFirmware level. Anyone know how to unlock that? J

Yeah! C7 causes a lot of problems for UE8 and it's neighbours. My other SE/30 also has corrosion on UE8 but it's video is perfectly fine (thankfully !) I was surprised to see how much damage there was to the pads which is why I decided to post my findings for others to see. j

Just thought I would post a pic of what I found under chip UE8 on my SE/30 mobo. Pins 2 and 3 represent 2 bits of video data that goes directly to pins 2 and 3 of video chip UC7. Nothing like missing pads to explain why data wasn't getting to the video chip! I still have to run some jumper...

Just looking at my SE/30 (which might need a new scsi chip). I have two; one uses an AMD 53C80 and the other uses an NCR 53C80. As for dead boards for parts, maybe a new section on the forum is needed for "Part Sales & Collection".

@rjkucia If you have been looking for a RPi 4 your going to have problems finding one. Try looking for a RPi 3b instead. Much easier to find and work great with the RaSCSI.
