    Beige PowerMac G3 Capacitor Replacement

I picked up a SATA card for it in addition to my USB card and Rage 128 and after using it for a few hours one night, it was basically dead the next day and wouldn't chime or light up the power LED (PSU fan would spin though). Recapping fixed my issue (as well as fighting with CUDA afterwards).

    Beige PowerMac G3 Capacitor Replacement

Ok I finally got around to replacing the last small capacitor and the caps on the voltage regulator board tonight. I will note that small 10uf 16v cap is tiny. Might be able to use a slightly larger on to make it a little easier. The solid polymer caps are working great in the system so far...

Copying legacy software from internet repositories to 68k Macs

I wasn't aware of the bluescsi toolbox method, that's nice. I typically use a piscsi to get the initial installation and networking set up on machines (if they have networking) and then I have a Mac OS X 10.4 Server VM running in ESXi on a trash can mac Pro as my file server/repository. My only...

    Apple Extended Keyboard repair help

Sounds like something inside the switch is possibly problematic. Alps switches are not terribly dust or moisture proof and both can cause problems eventually inside the switch. You can (carefully) open alps switches without desoldering them if you wanted to examine the leaf and contacts for...
