@eric I think this is solved! I think it was a combination of two issues… Something was amiss on the firmware I had and whatever it was was corrected when I nuked it and reflashed it, and then I was forgetting that the ROM-inator II requires a patched System. Thanks to @bakkus for mentioning it...
