    VCF East 2025 - Who's Coming?

Just checked with a friend who went with me last year, he purchased in advanced and it was $34 after fees for one day(not sure day of pricing, but I'd assume $10 extra). So I don't think there was a huge jump last year to this year, but does seem like there was between 23 and 24

along with what Kenny said, the campus that VCF East is on is really cool with a bunch of independent museums, so I highly recommend taking some time to explore. Military vehicles, TV & Radio museum, theres a model railroad layout there, a shipwreck museum.

"Budget" conscious Trinocular Microscope & Fume Extraction

so I stole drakes idea and made it better I first 3d printed the adapter, but bumped my printer like 80% into the print and didn't trust the structural integrity of the print job. Rather than reprint it, I got a generic monitor VESA plate, and a piece of the scope arm, and was planning on...

Mac Plus analog board - horizontal flickering lines

With some help from Techknight on the TD discord, and some parts swapping, turns out it's the tube(not caused from the discoloration on the pins, but either gassy, or a short in the CRT) Thanks for the advice too luminescentsimian and jajan547!

Mac Plus analog board - horizontal flickering lines

Doesn't seem to be anything on the cable. Just wire and plugs(and a ferrite core). I checked the cable with the meter and it seems solid checked the cable that connects to the neck of the CRT as well, and that seems fine I noticed the pins on the CRT look a bit discolored, so I'm starting to...

Mac Plus analog board - horizontal flickering lines

Ok, so Checked a couple of the ICs on analog board 1-they test fine(U1 and u2) So I decide screw it, grab analog board 2, swap the flyback from 1 to 2(because the 1 on 2's wire is cut) move all the new caps over from 1 to 2 Turn it on, same issue Issue is across 2 logic boards too So, it's...

Mac Plus analog board - horizontal flickering lines

Video: Analog board has been recapped, no cracked solder joints or anything that I can see. I reflowed the joints for the flyback, and all of the connectors that go between the logic board/CRT. Happens with multiple logic boards If I have it on, and tap around the analog board with the...
