no cd

This happened once 2 or 3 years ago, and I read somewhere that if you put a space before an extension filename like " Apple CD-ROM", it will load the extension sooner in the boot process, but I can't find that source anymore. It fixed it last time, but it's not doing the trick this time. I just...
