November 30 2024 Board Meeting​

Attendance:​

Agenda:​

Item 1:​

Holiday Gaming Sessions / Game Server

Notes:

• Last year's gaming sessions were fun, so let's do it again

Action Items:

• @eric will review the available game services, set up more as desired, and message around about them

Item 2:​

Merch Store

Notes:

• Our existing merch store is a very manual process, which we want to move away from
• Post ideas for the merch store!

Action Items:

• @Branchus will make an account with a new merch provider and poke around to see if it looks like a better system

Item 3:​

Checkup On Moderator Meetings / Followup

Notes:

• Most moderation actions are happening on Discord, with very few issues at all on the Tinker Different forum
• Overall things are going well, we want to have a culture where the forum and Discord can "self-police" and people are OK bringing up issues

Action Items:

• @This Does Not Compute to continue being awesome

Item 4:​

Board Elections

Notes:

• Group A's term is over at end of 2024
• Elections Process Debate, last year wasn't as organized as we would like
  • Two weeks to "put yourself into the running", ending December 16th at 00:00 GMT
  • Two weeks for voting, ending 00:00 GMT January 1st
    • Multiple-choice poll for voting
• The Treasurer position, by unanimous vote, is being moved to the Administrative Group starting January 1st 2025
  • Official Governance Policy Wording is currently being written

Action Items:

• @Branchus to create a thread for the Board Election "Running" announcements
• @Branchus or @Androda to create the official voting thread
• @Androda to coordinate creation of the official Governance Policy Language around the Admin Group

Item 5:​

Donation Drive

Notes:

• A Donation Drive was discussed at the last Board meeting
• We want to remind people that Tinker Different is run by donations
• We want to give people a badge on the Forum for donating
  • As a Phase 2 we could give people a role in Discord for donating

Action Items:

• @Branchus to announce the donation drive
