I recently came into possession of a Quadra 630 with an Apple 15” Multiple Sync display with a tilt/swivel base. Restoration is underway on both. I have a question about the tilt/swivel base that isn’t covered in the service source document, nor could I find anything about my question online. I figured one of the experts out there might be able to answer my question.
I have two parts: a dome-like piece that clips onto the bottom of the display, and a stand that the dome slides onto.
The dome/base connection is really loose and does not hold the display in place. In fact, it is quite easy to slip the dome off the base. I’m wondering if I am missing a retaining ring that locks onto the stem of the base to hold the dome in place. Anyone familiar with this tilt/swivel base?
