looking for some ideas on an LC2 I'm working on...
does anyone else have any ideas on things to check?!
- system will not boot with original roms - it does chime howerver and just hangs at a flat grey screen (not alternating pixes with the mouse).
- these roms work fine in my lc2 board.
- with a known good 4th (HH) rom chip installed (341-0746) this computer boots perfectly (with the other 3 original roms), and will do 45+ passes of snooper with no issues.
- i've replaced the socket for the HH rom. still the same as above.
- i've flashed a new eeprom (27c010) with the contents of my known good HH rom. still the same results as above. that same flashed rom chip works perfectly in my known good working lc2.
- my rom chips are all samsung models, the originals in this board are AMD, and the replacement rom i flashed is a winbond. again, all of these roms work fine in another lc2 machine, but only my samsung roms work in the problematic board!
- the same power supply is being used for all testing, and the voltages check out good.
does anyone else have any ideas on things to check?!
