Best monitor for vintage Macintosh

Hey!

I have an old 19" Acer AL1917 monitor that I connect to different beige Macintosh. As far as I understand, this monitor should work at 1280x1024@75.
However, I've always noticed that the VGA connection is strange, the text seems to be doubled or smeared.
Recently, I received a KVM switch that works great, but the problem with the image has become more noticeable.



If I set the native resolution for the monitor, it is simply impossible to look at such a screen. This 1280x1024. If I use it without KVM, the image is better, the smearing will be less noticeable.



If I set 1024x768, this effect is less noticeable, but still there is. For example, a video card in 8100 does not allow you to select 75 Hz




This is not a KVM-switch problem, I received a smeared image always on beige Macs, somewhere more, somewhere smaller.

Do I understand correctly that 19" is a lot for Q950, PM 8100, PM 9500, PM9600, PM G3 MT?
Do I need to look for a 17" or 15" monitor with 1024x768 support?

The photo with KVM shows that I use Mac VGA and an adapter, but I also tried to use my own PC VGA, the proposed choice of resolutions in the settings may change.

What can I try to do?

Have you tried different VGA cables?

Looks to me like a shielding issue. Poorly shielded cables or something internal to the KVM box is letting signals hop/bleed. When you hook the monitor directly to the computer, do you see the same ghosting?

Hmm...
I don't have any other Mac VGA cables.
When connecting directly using the cable and adapter, there is an effect, but it is not so pronounced.

So if you don't use the adapter and directly connect your monitor and VGA cable to the VGA output on the KVM, you get nothing?

One guess is that each computer is trying to detect the attached monitor and it is not getting the correct signals. I wonder what it would look like if each computer had the DIP adapter and went to a VGA switchbox/KVM?
