Hey all,
I’ve been working on a doom port targeting the SE/30. It’s coming along but I was working on testing it also for other machines that otherwise couldn’t play Doom with the regular Lion Entertainment ports of the 90s _and_ that has better processor / speeds than my SE/30.
That would mean any:
Mac IIci, IIfx, IIsi, IIvx
When I tried to emulate these setups in Snow, I keep getting a crash and I’m honestly not sure if it’s emulator related or representative of real HW.
Pretty easy to test that part — just see if you can get the game to start and get to the basic Menu screen.
Would appreciate any help confirming the bug as real on target hw.
You can be in 256 color mode or in 1-bit black and white — or grayscale even — but no thousands / millions of colors.
(direct link to the binary .sit file HERE on my git page)
I won’t distribute a doom.wad file for copyright reasons but i’m sure you can find one.
