If you're not already familiar with it, I heartily recommend the youtube channel 'Classic Mac Gaming'. The man behind the channel has restructured his youtube content recently and is picking up momentum in 2 channels rather than one big unfocused one. AKA 'gruz' or 'insanely gruz', he's re-releasing some of his old and not-so-old videos about mac gaming, revising them and adding new tidbits where applicable. After learning about his efforts for his channel through his patreon posts, one can only appreciate how hard it is to forge a succesful channel and change solidified habits (he's been at it for 10 years or so as a very side hobby!). There's not a lot of mac gaming focused creative content out there, this one is easily my favorite source.

The latest one is from last year or so, but rereleased today on Shadowgate, by ICOM simulations, published by mindscape.

One of the secrets referred to at the end of the video was already revisited in an older video, but since his content is being reworked, it's currently taken off before it'll be shortly reintroduced. I'm particularly happy at learning about another secret which might have been discovered after he contacted one of the original authors of the game!

It's extremely hard to find the level of obscure info about this era of gaming, because of the lack of internet back in that day. You kinda depend on the nostalgia of mid-90's era usenet users, fondly going over their memories of their playthrough 10 years prior and we, the people of 2021 have to pick up the pieces left in incomplete archives of comp.sci.mac or whatever it was. Having a direct line of communication with one of the original programmers of the game blows my mind.
