LC II weird issues

I have a couple of freshly recapped LC II with the same symptoms:
When turning on, get no video and no chime, but the fan and hard drive goes on. You can hear the hard drive reading. Both are bare bones just with the Video RAM, no battery.
I was thinking my Video adapter was bad, but it works on a performa 610, set at 640 x 480. In fact the LCD VGA monitor (tried two different ones) detects signal, but never shows anything.
Any ideas where I should start testing?

It may sound silly but I've had LCII units act like this until they were given exactly 3.6v to the battery holder. Then flashed the PRAM and things booted up as normal. At least this is where I would start.

Well, half good news: one of them revived with the battery and PRAM reset. The other one still has no video or sound, just starts and the HD begins to move and sounds like working.

Were the PSUs also recapped? Try swapping them just incase to eliminate one possibility.
*The LCII is one of my most dreaded adversaries, They are often temperamental*

Yeah, i was curious as to what @jcm-1 did exactly in case anyone else runs into that situation! I know on the LCII the 1uv/10v cap by UA10 trace is really easy to tear and that results in no sound, but everything else working lovely. I was just curious of what exactly he found with the boards in case it might help others 😀

Both had random trace damage. One had a bad audio amp and the other a bad audio chip. I scavenged the audio amp from one to fix the other and sent back to Javo. I'm waiting for a person who has promised me a "dead parts board" so I can scavenge another chip and get the board back to Javo.
