lc475 startup issues

I have a lc475 that's recapped. I didn't check floppy function before recap. It did boot fine from hard drive etc...after recap I noticed issues with floppy or floppy controller possibly? If I have nothing attached to computer (no floppy, no hard drive no ram, but has onboard ram and vram still) new pram battery, I turn on, get chime, but instead of flashing question mark I get an X. It will boot from a hard drive, but floppy does not work, won't mount. I tried differenrt drive, different cable still the same. Sometimes I get a dialog box that will keep coming back saying initialization failed disk is locked! What is happening? how to fix this? Thanks for any info

recapped and cleaned the caps near floppy / power connector on logic board and it has fixed this lc 475. Floppy works perfectly now so either a short, or not good solder connection etc
