I just installed the BlueSCSi DB25 to my old Mac Plus.
At first it didn't work then I remembered something about it might need more power.
So I took the power supply from my Raspberry Pi and now it works.
My question is, is there a work-a-round for this?
I don't want another power supply to plug in if I don't have to.
Is there a resister or something else I could do?
thanks

I've done the same on my Mac Plus and it works a treat!

I used a 1N4007 diode (because that's what I had at hand) and it works.

It's solved adding a diode. You can check out this video:

This is a pending mod in my Plus too....
thanks so much! It looks pretty simple. now I just need to get me the correct diode and brush up on my soldering skills.

Hey guys, recently got a Mac Plus and watched a video on a product designed to act as a SCSI to SD Hard Drive Called MacSD. I commented on his video asking him whether or not this modification would still make the computer work with normal, platter spinning Hard Disk Drives or whether the modification would render them unusable or more temperamental than they already can be. And he recommended you guys.

Edit: Here’s the video by the way:
