I have a vintage Mac TV 1993, that was my husbands. It runs beautifully and has lots of software including the install disk ‘CD Install me first’ dated 1992. My husband was meticulous and stored it well even as we moved on to more MACs. My husband now has dementia and can never work again and we’ve reached a breaking point financially. I don’t usually sell things and am at a loss. Can you point me to a collector? We live in northern CA and would be willing to travel to the Bay Area or Reno.

So sorry to hear about your situation. I've forwarded this to a few people. You should have no trouble finding a buyer, while MacTV's were not the best computers at the time their color and TV feature made them collectable. If you have the black keyboard and mouse with it that's even better, those can sometimes go for the same price as the machine itself.

Yes we do have both AND a lot of original software on discs. Thank you so much.

Do you have any idea what price I should ask for? eBay is all over the place.

Something that would be important to know would be if it includes the original black keyboard and mouse.

Also, some pictures taken with good lighting, and at a distance of two or 3 feet away from the machine would be helpful to let people get an idea of the condition of the plastics.

Another bit of advice would be to immediately power off the machine. These computers have issues with leaky batteries, and leaky capacitors that like to destroy the motherboards and greatly affect the value of the computers.

Yes we have the original keyboard and mouse. Fortunately the original battery didn’t leak, and my husband installed a a new battery ( some memories are sticky). I’ll clean take photos. Thanks again.

I purchased one on eBay a few years ago with the keyboard by no mouse and I paid $480 after shipping. and I felt like it was probably a pretty fair price. eBay charges fees, and prices have gone up a bit. But I'd say if it is working and is in good shape and hasn't been destroyed by the battery, $400-600 is probably a fair price. It may not sell as quickly, since it's a bit more expensive, but I'm guessing you could find a buyer in that price range.
