I managed to get this Mac IIci for a pretty low price. It was stated to be non-functional when it arrived, the board had had its surface mount caps already removed (though some leakage and corrosion was still on there - the battery was not present thankfully), and the PSU was leaking badly.
I replaced every cap, and cleaned it carefully in an isopropyl alcohol bath, stripped the floppy drive down completely (cleaned and re-greased it), and now I have a fully working machine. I'm fairly new to 68k Macs and I've never owned one of these before, so I'm very happy with this result!
Needs a bit of a clean on the outside still (and maybe a retr0brite) and it would be great if I could find a matching monitor - but still, one more machine resurrected!
Now starting the quest for a full memory set (it came with 8MB), a cache / accelerator card, and a 24 bit NuBus graphics card...
