Macintosh Plus and M0110A woes

I picked up a Macintosh Plus from VCFMW and have finally gotten around to testing the thing out properly. I have it booting off of a Floppy Emu with System 7.1 and 6.0.8 and am using a Kensington Turbo Mouse Plus with success. I finally got around to scrounging cable for the M0110A keyboard, but it doesn't seem to work. I don't have another compatible Mac to test the keyboard with, so what would the best way to diagnose the issue be? Is there any common fault? The cable should just be straight through, correct?

Opened it up and it looks like one of the pins on the D8748HC is corroded horribly up to the chip. Guessing I should grab another one of these and see...

On all other pictures of the inside of the M0110A I see online, it seems there's an Apple labelled chip in the socket, labelled 8630X7 48H517 341-0332. Is this just a revision difference?

E.g.:

Whereas this was the chip in mine:

Is the ROM for the M0110A dumped anywhere? I see it for the M0110 but not the -A.

exactly what cable did you scrounge around to find?

As you can see in Stephen's instructable the connector for the cable is the same as phone headset cables. but it is not the same pinout. as such if you just use a phone cable you can short something out.

Yeah, it's straight through as it should be for the M0110A.

Anyways, if anyone else needs to find the ROM for the 8748 in the M0110A, look up "mackbd_m0110a.zip". I've ordered a D8748HD and I'll post results here when I get around to getting the thing flashed and in the keyboard.

I can't imagine there's a huge demand for replacement M0110A ROMs but I can definitely say I am very interested in seeing your results!
