Macintosh TV sound issue

Hi all! I recently acquired a Macintosh TV. Everything so far works fine except sound. No chime on boot-up, and no sound when running. Except after about five minutes of running, the speakers will crackle intermittently.

Please tell me this is a common issue with a simple solution. Thanks!

My first port of call would be a recap to be honest as every Macintosh I have had sound issues with has been fixed that way. Chances are as it warms up the leaked electrolytes are interfering with the sound chip. The board will need a good clean afterwards as well, preferably in an ultrasonic bath. once that is done you can diagnose further or be joyful that it is fixed.
