#MARCHintosh 2025 - Planning Thread

March is right around the corner - it's time to start planning any projects you'd like to do for MARCHintosh 2025!

I have three goals, but if i get only 1 done I'll be fine with that.

• Restore TAM (measure whine before and after to see what, if anything, helps)
• Get ANS Globaltalk somehow
• <not telling yet, might not happen>

I'll break out my '040 IIci and have it host a GlobalTalk server and a 6-node wifi modem Hermes II BBS again.

Speaking of Hermes, it's back in the hands of its original creator, Will Price. Hopefully we'll see some further development in the near future!

I have a Macintosh IIvx on its way, which I intend on restoring.

I have a PowerTower Pro 225, I feel like I haven't really dug into it too much. I put a bunch of cards in it, upgraded the processor to a G3 and messed with it for a week or two, but I could probably do more with it. Machines in the 100-500Mhz range are my favorite, so I think it's a prime option. I think I'll bring it back to stock config, maybe leave the OrangePC card in for fun.
