I just received (after a two month wait) my Metcal MicroFine handpiece. This is a part of a new Metcal system "designed for work under the microscope". It is approximately the size of a SEQURE S20 Nano iron and is extremely light and easy on the hand. The range of tips is relatively small compared the JBC C115 range, most notably lacking a "knife" blade, but otherwise has everything I need. Price for the handpiece was US$95; cartridges are about US$35 and the workstand was an eye-watering US$125. All prices pre-Trump tariffs.

As expected, the MX-H9-MFH is a joy to use. Most exciting, it is COMPATIBLE WITH ALL MX-SERIES power supplies, including my 1990's MX-500P-11! I have my original MX-RM3E plugged into one port and the MFH into the other. Lovely!
