This a hardware capture (video using RGBtoHDMI for capturing the original 1986 software for the left half parts, audio using the speaker out port) from a Macintosh Plus running Bogas Productions' "Studio Session" a music software for Mac Plus released in 1986 capable of playing back 6 mixed channels of free form waves (arbitrary lengths) at 11 kHz, far surpassing the capabilities of the regular Apple Sound Driver which mixed 4 channels of simple wave forms (of 256 bytes each only)
Ed Bogas is an american composer known for psychedelic/rock and some film scores. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_Bogas
You can check out the program as well as the rest of Bogas' composition vignettes on Macintosh Garden: https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/studio-session
The visual wave form (oscilloscope like view) was done using Corrscope, a python project found here: https://github.com/corrscope/corrscope
Happy #MARCHintosh everyone!
Here's my first video with this technique, with "Walkbass" a cool sounding jazz vignette
Here's a playlist where I'll put other songs as well:
